British soldier wins €17.9 million jackpot on Mega Moolah

Everyone who’s into online casinos know Mega Moolah’s progressive jackpot has reached a record-breaking amount — €17, 879, 645.12 million.

And anyone who’s into progressive slots have played, prayed to the gods and summoned the powers that be so they could be the chosen one to win it.

But no.  Luck has chosen a 26-year old British army named Jonathan Heywood.  He has just spent time in Afghanistan and was recently back to his hometown in Cheshire.

It was Tuesday night, October 9 and he has just logged into his Betway account.  He placed a 25p wager on Mega Moolah (Watch how the game is played at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PevYXlwAhFU) just before midnight and to his amazement, he won the much-coveted jackpot prize.

“It’s all so surreal and I can’t come to terms with it just yet.  I just kept staring at my screen and seeing this huge number in my Betway account,” Jonathan recounted his emotional and unexpected win.

Despite his emotional state that night, he managed to keep calm.  He never told anyone about what happened and simply went to work the following day.  It would take another three days before he will share the news with anyone.

What does he plan to do with his life-changing winnings?

Jonathan said his priority is to find and provide the best possible treatment for his father who is waiting for a heart and lung transplant.  He also wants to go on a Mediterranean cruise with his family and hopefully buy a new Bentley Continental GT to replace his old Fiat Punto.

Spokesperson for Betway, Alan Alger, said they are happy the record-breaking jackpot has finally been won.

“Having met him the day after his win, we can honestly say that it couldn’t have happened to a nicer young man,” Alger said.
